STANLEY

INSIGHT:

When you hear “Stanley Cup” do you think of Millennial Influencers fighting over their coveted trophy-size cup or 23-toothed Hockey players fighting over theirs? Hockey needs its Taylor Swift and he’s named Stanley.

IDEA:

The opportunity has existed for 111 years but Stanley’s recent strategy of releasing limited edition tumblers makes this the perfect time for a Stanley and NHL collaboration—possibly the best pairing since the IMAX double feature of Barbie and Oppenheimer.

Phase 1: Stanley X Stanley LTO

A premium 40oz. THE QUENCHER H2.0 FLOWSTATE™ TUMBLER modeled to resemble the unique design of the Stanley Cup trophy.

For promotional purposes, 40 limited-edition Stanley X Stanley Tumblers would be laser engraved with player signatures, numbered, and paired with a certificate of authenticity.

Phase 2: Hold a contest.

An event would be organized in the Nevada desert in honor of last year’s Stanley Cup champions—the Las Vegas Golden Knights. Participants will guess the answer to the following “riddle”.

“The Stanley tumbler famously keeps iced drinks cold for 40 hours. If a 40ft block of ice is lifted onto the 40ft. bed of a trailer by a 40ft crane and hauled 40m off the road by a trucker with 40 years of CDL driving experience, and it sits for 40h in up to 40ºC weather then slapped by 40 children with hockey sticks for 40 seconds all while being filmed by 40 cameras. How many 40oz Stanley tumblers could be filled with the Ice melt?”

Phase 3: Winners

The ice melt event will be live-streamed 40 hours before the playoff with a running tally of tumblers filled. At halftime, those with the 40 closest guesses will be announced winners of the limited-edition engraved Stanley X Stanley Tumblers. Non-engraved versions of the tumbler will be available for purchase at the Game.
